In August 2022, we shared that Rubicon was recognized by Inc. Magazine for their Inc. 5000 list of fasted-growing companies in the U.S. Rubicon hasn’t slowed down since that time. Utah Business Magazine recently released honorees for CEO of the Year 2023. On that list was Rubicon’s very own CEO: Brandon Floyd.

Brandon had a chance to sit down with Utah Business Magazine to discuss his insights into business and life. Here’s some of that discussion:
UBM: What is your go-to business strategy? Why?
Brandon: Attitude + Effort > Skill, confirm their “why,” and influence for good. I find myself focusing around assessing individuals’ “why” as it relates to their attitude, along with their observable effort. I’ve consistently found that these team members are the ones creating more value than their counterparts.
UBM: What does success look like to you?
Brandon: Going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. It’s inspiring to observe others’ personal drive, ability to maintain momentum and focus as they push towards their goals, and it is human nature to compare to others. Maturity allows each of us to remain grateful, motivated and driven to continue enjoying the process (including the down moments) and the relationships we form along the way.

Rubicon isn’t stopping anytime soon. In fact, our services and workforce are expanding rapidly. With spring approaching, Rubicon is preparing for an extremely busy landscaping season. The heavy snowfall this past winter will likely lead to flooding in Northern Utah. Rubicon is offering flood preparation, emergency, and clean-up services this spring and summer. Our interior services are available year-round from electrical to janitorial.
